Guidelines
Block Talk is your neighbors. These are the few rules that keep it worth opening.

Be a neighbor
Disagree all you want. No harassment, hate, slurs or threats, and don't pile on someone. Talk to people the way you would on your own street.

Talk about what happened, not who someone looks like
No “suspicious person” posts based on someone's race, clothes or just being there. Describe what happened. If it's an emergency, call 911, not Block Talk.

Keep private info private
No home addresses, phone numbers, emails or license plates, and no photos of people, kids or homes without permission. A business address is fine, but a moderator may check it before it goes up.

Be real
One account, your real first name and your real neighborhood. The ✓ means a neighbor verified their phone number. It doesn't mean we checked their address.
- 05
No spam, scams or selling
Block Talk isn't an ad board. Don't post the same thing over and over, promote a business you own, or drop links to get clicks.
- 06
Grown folks only, and keep it decent
You have to be 18 or older. No sexual content or nudity. Only post photos you took or have the right to share.
- 07
Anonymous answers still count
Your name isn't shown on prompt answers, but these rules still apply and our moderators can see who wrote what. A voice can be recognizable, so share what you're comfortable sharing.
What happens when something breaks these
An automatic check reads every post before it goes up and may hold one for a person to look at. Neighbors can report anything from the ··· menu, and enough reports pause a post until a moderator decides. Moderators can remove posts and suspend accounts. If we remove something of yours, you'll see it marked with the reason.
